Please let your networks know:
INVITATION: Earth Day 2005 features KidCast for Peace Digital (or not) Storytelling Adventure, Video Conference and Art Competition!
On April 22, 2005, KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World will facilitate the expression of young people and their SOLUTIONS; telling adults what to do for a change in a live multi-node video conference. The assembled kids in multiple countries will show and discuss SOLUTIONS for birthing a happier, healthier, safer and more peace filled. Right now we have children from Hawaii, California, Canada, Korea, Belgium and elsewhere slated to participate in kidCast for Peace. This unfolding digital storytelling network and video conference opportunity helps young people, create the world they will inherit.
We invite you to join in a global videoconference and interactive art show on the Internet, connecting kids in schools who have made art suggesting how to bring more peace love and happiness into the world. Now is the time to get ready! Participate in offering a creative solution, and share your art and heart on April 22! The idea is to facilitate connection of kids in classrooms, hospital rooms and homes to share ideas and images in a multi-node video conference; a "Peace Portal" (with free iVisit software) with up to 12 participants from different parts of the world interacting via video, audio and/or text chat. Our desire is to inspire young people and instigate the production of positive media "content" to offset violent and fear filled programming. Think peacefully! KidCast for Peace gives gathered children a loud voice in shaping their future world. Please contact us to host a gathering in your school, club or home. Do you want participate in precipitating peace?
Through creating this "Peace Portal," we facilitate peer to peer interaction that transcends geography, time, race and color lines. While our focus is on K12 children, KidCast connects peers for peace of all ages. Let's all get together and appreciate the children for their peace filled contributions.
KidCast for Peace motivates young people to shape the world they will inherit and help them learn about cooperation, creative self expression, ecological sanity and conflict resolution. Details can be found in KidCast Central: http://creativity.net/KidCast/ . Participants are getting ready for the next (15th) production of KIDCAST FOR PEACE on Earth Day's April 22, 2005 (and again on May 1 in a SECOND KidCast). We will use free (online) iVisit and other software.
We seek those who want to offer creative and multimedia "Solutions" for making this world a happier, healthier, more peace filled place. Can YOU PICTURE PEACE? What does it look like? What does more love look like? We invite children of all ages (the kid in you) to make PEACE art, put it on a web site. Send the URL to kidcast15@creativity.net, and participate in giving future leaders an opportunity to help shape the world we are making. Everyone is invited to share their art, creative ideas and Earth Day performances.
Please pass this on to someone you know. Consider hosting a video node with some gathered children from where you are?! This positive media teleactivity is made possible through the resources of Visionary Artists Resources Including Other Unique Services (V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media, 501c3) and is supported by donations and sponsorship. Please be generous and help sustain KidCast for Peace. Detailed information can be found in Creativity Cafe's KidCast Central: http://creativity.net/KidCast/ or by writing kidcast15@creativity.net.

PS: Normally the KCFP iVisit network does not form until just before the event. We would like to test with you way before if possible? Please let me know. Before that, people are getting information, making art, and debugging their audio and video so the technology is transparent on the day of our event. You can keep the pulse of our activities by joining our KIDCAST FOR PEACE MAILING LIST: http://www.creativity.net/forum2005/viewtopic.php?t=28
