You have come upon a meeting ground for creative spirit on a transformational path. We invite you, dear "Storyteller Of The New Millennium," to share a tale and offer a suggestion to nurture creative spirit. What techniques do you use to overcome the challenges of our rapidly changing and complex world?

I didn't see many actual short stories and poems posted on this board and Thought
it would be a cool thing to do, so here goes.

Early Afternoon Conflict

I look upon the ground
and spy a pair of ants entwined.
Like soldiers locked in combat,
they ignore the world around them,
both intent on destroying the other.

As I watch their struggle,
I think of you and the game we play
with words which say one thing
and imply another.
Is it true what they say my dear?
Is all really fair in love and war?
How I miss the days
in which I could tell the difference!

I watch these fighting ants
thinking of you
and resolve their little conflict
with my cigarette lighter.
