What: Party for the Planet
Where: The Oakland Museum of California
When: Saturday, October 9th
Once a year Earth Island brings together our supporters at a benefit party
to celebrate all the successes that they've helped us achieve. We've heard
from our friends that they really had fun, ate great food, entered into
inspiring conversations with all our project people, and generally were
delighted that they came. And this year, still on the move, we are at the
beautiful Oakland Museum of California!
The evening's schedule will begin at 5:30 with a special Reception and
organic Dinner for our event sponsors and others. Then comes the Party
itself at 8:30: project presentations in the James Moore Theatre, wine and
hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction featuring items from our many projects,
dancing to the music of Big Bang Beat, sage words from our founder Dave
Brower, and special guests!
Please mark your calendar now and get in touch with us right away, if you
haven't already done so. If somehow we missed sending you an invitation,
we apologize and very much want to hear from you. The Party costs $50 per
person. The Dinner (including the Party) costs $200 each ($175 until
September 24th), with tables of eight starting at $1200.
Joanne Porter will get you that invitation, answer any of your questions,
and also sign you up right away to become a a Party Sponsor, purchase party
tickets, donate items for the silent auction, and/or volunteer your time:
