FIRST CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN EARTHDAY '97
Creativity Cafe KIDCAST FOR PEACE

SAN FRANCISCO - February 19, 1997 It was announced today by Visionary Artists Resources Including Other Unique Services (V.A.R.I.O.U.S.), a 501-c-3 non profit, that this year's "KidCast For Peace; Solutions for a Better World," a live and cyberspace event will take place on Earthday, April 22, 1997. This international gathering of children has been produced three times before sponsored by major corporations such as Autodesk and Adobe. We welcome the following who are joining forces with us for this Earthday CU-SeeMe Children's Multicast; Global SchoolNet.

Children in schools, cybercafes, and at home are invited to prepare artwork describing their thoughts and feelings on how we might make this a happier, healthier, safer and more peaceful world? They are encouraged to construct a "KidCast For Peace" web page with their multimedia images, sounds and words. These pages will then be linked to Creativity Cafe "KidCast Central" (http://creativity.net/kidcast2.html), and VRML Virtual Reality "EarthStation" currently circling cyberspace with previous submissions. You are invited to participate as a child (of all ages), sponsor or organizer in your area. Help give the Children a voice in creating the world they will inherit!

Creativity Cafe; a "New School For the Next Millennium," is co-producing the KidCast that will link participants via CU-SeeMe video conferencing software (available free on the internet). Everyone will be encouraged to hold up their artwork and share their thoughts interactively with people around the world who have tuned into this broadcast on the World Wide Web. "I want to do everything I can to create furtile ground for a better world," offers Peter H. Rosen, originator of the KidCast and director of V.A.R.I.O.U.S..
