New CONTEST - One Minute Shift&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Deadline March 15th 2008 at midnight.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
IF you have one minute to share your thoughts about how to make a positive change in the world and inspire others to do so, what would it be? You might demonstrate a key part of the solution, a change in consciousness or perspective or something that inspires us for the journey.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
If you had a single minute to share the single most important message you have with the world, what would it be? And can you make that message entertaining enough to create a shift in others?&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
The Institute of Noetic Sciences Shift in Action program is offering $1,000 for the best &#38;quot;One Minute Shift&#38;quot; video!&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Contest opens January 25, 2008 and closes March 15, 2008.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Create from your own original images, original music, original video and creativity... a one minute video (give or take a few seconds) that inspires, educates, illuminates or just tells a story about how the world is shifting in a positive way.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
You may want to watch some of the One Minute Shifts on YouTube created by our Shift in Action team for inspiration and the winning videos from our first contest. You can see all of the One Minute Shifts at: &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;a href=&#34;http://www.youtube.com/groups_videos?name=greatshiftcontest&#34;&#62;http://www.youtube.com/groups_videos?name=greatshiftcontest&#60;/a&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Grand prize winner and runners up will also receive a Shift in Action membership for one year, email promotion of their video sent to 35,000 people and the selected videos will be showcased on &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.OneMinuteShift.com&#34;&#62;http://www.OneMinuteShift.com&#60;/a&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Simply post your One Minute Shift to this group and a panel of judges will select a winner in March!&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Submission in this contest is your consent and agreement to have your video showcased on www.oneminuteshift.com as a winner or a runner-up and utilized by IONS in any media in perpetuity. You agree that all of the material in your video is original and not copyrighted by anyone other than yourself unless you have written permission. You retain all ownership to your video.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Once you have uploaded your one-minute video to YouTube.com and it is available for public view then go here to link it to us:&#60;br /&#62;

		 <title>Another KidCast'er thinks he was first to coin the phrase!</title>

&#60;a href=&#34;http://www.intelligenic.com/blog/?page_id=2&#34;&#62;http://www.intelligenic.com/blog/?page_id=2&#60;/a&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Hi Dan,&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
I just came upon the page above.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Please have a look around my/our work, i.e.  &#38;quot;KidCast for Peace&#38;quot; in our KidCast Central production center:&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;a href=&#34;http://creativity.net/KidCast/preparation.html&#34;&#62;http://creativity.net/KidCast/preparation.html&#60;/a&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
and let me know your thoughts about collaboration?&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Every time I read your writing, or listen to your podcast, I think, this guy should be giving my and my project credit for coining the phrase KidCast (for I did in May of 1995) and for helping to inaugurate children's use of interactive video conferencing and audio conferencing technology in the classroom and on the Web.  We have been affiliated with University of Hawaii in producing these peace portals since 1995. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
You state &#38;quot; KidCast started off during the spring of 2005 as a professional development experiment .&#38;quot; That may be true from your point of view. But KidCast was coined and serving children and teachers worldwide way before that!  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Here is some video documentation of our project:&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;a href=&#34;http://tinyurl.com/yxnw5j&#34;&#62;http://tinyurl.com/yxnw5j&#60;/a&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
What do you think?&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Peace and Blessings,&#60;br /&#62;
Peter&#60;br /&#62;
PS: Can you please include Creativity Cafe's  &#38;quot;KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World&#38;quot; project in your future writings and projects!?  Best of luck!&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;

		 <title>[V.A.R.I.O.U.S. KidCast4Peace] Details for this years and possible Earth Day Web Cast Alliance</title>
		 <link>http://creativity.net/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/kcfp2005/20060307151820/</link>
		 <description>&#60;p&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
Aloha Dear Friend of the Earth,&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
To remind you and let you know I have asked for cooperation with the Earth Day Education Networks plans (see FWD at end):&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Every year around Earth Day April; 22, we produce a KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World video conference so that kids in schools around the world can share the artwork they have created to demonstrate solutions to the ills of our world and its peoples, and to tell the adults what to do, for a change! (For Change).&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Perhaps there is a way we might cross-link and let our KidCast Network know about your events and visa versa?&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Here is a description of our event:&#60;br /&#62;
-----------------------  Post widely ----------------------------&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World facilitates the gathering and expression of young people and their SOLUTIONS for making this a happier, healthier, safer, more peace filled world. 1. Live Chat with Global Warming Experts - Help Spread the Word&#60;br /&#62;
On Friday, April 21, Earth Day Network will host a live chat with world-renowned global warming experts.  The event will be broadcast over the internet live from the George Washington University and will be accessible to all interested classrooms.  Additionally, high school and college classrooms that sign up with EDN will be able to have their questions about global warming answered directly by these experts.  The panel includes Dr. David Battisti, professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington; Dr. John Harte, professor of Environmental Sciences at the University of California at Berkeley; and Dr. John Reilly, Associate Director for Research in the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  We need your help to spread the word about this unique event!  Here are the details:&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; Interested high school and college classrooms can ask the panelists questions through email and have them answered in real-time through the video webcast.  To sign up for this great opportunity send an email with the subject heading &#38;quot;Climate Change Live Chat&#38;quot; to &#60;a href=&#34;mailto:&#38;#x65;&#38;#100;&#38;#117;&#38;#99;&#38;#x61;&#38;#116;&#38;#105;&#38;#111;&#38;#x6E;&#38;#x40;&#38;#x65;&#38;#97;&#38;#114;&#38;#116;&#38;#x68;&#38;#x64;&#38;#97;&#38;#121;&#38;#46;&#38;#110;&#38;#x65;&#38;#116;&#34;&#62;&#38;#x65;&#38;#100;&#38;#117;&#38;#99;&#38;#x61;&#38;#116;&#38;#105;&#38;#111;&#38;#x6E;&#38;#x40;&#38;#x65;&#38;#97;&#38;#114;&#38;#116;&#38;#x68;&#38;#x64;&#38;#97;&#38;#121;&#38;#46;&#38;#110;&#38;#x65;&#38;#116;&#60;/a&#62; by Friday, March 17.  Include in the text your school's name and location, and the grades and subjects you teach.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; Classrooms or other groups that are unable to directly participate in the event may still view the event live on April 21 by going to the Earth Day Network website.  The only technology requirement is an internet connection and more detailed information regarding the event will periodically be available from the EDN website.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; The webcast will subsequently be available to download from the EDN website for those who are unable to view the event live.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; EDN will hold an essay contest for classrooms that watched the webcast.  Students can write a two-page essay on what they learned from the panelists and how it has influenced them to take action.  Winners will receive prizes and recognition on the EDN website.  More detailed information on the essay contest will be available at a later date&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
EDN needs you to help spread the word about this event!  Email this information to your friends, other educators, administrators, and community leaders in your area!  The first step to slowing climate change is education and awareness.&#60;br /&#62;

4. Other News from EDN Regarding Earth Day&#60;br /&#62;
The thirty-sixth anniversary of Earth Day is drawing near and our 3-year campaign to build the political will to solve global warming will launch throughout the month of April, leading up to Earth Day itself on April 22. Below is a summary of what EDN is preparing for the 15,000 organizations in 170 countries and the more than 100,000 k-12 teachers that are working with us on Earth Day and climate change throughout the year:&#60;br /&#62;
 &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; EDN will shortly launch the Earth Day IPTV television network (www.earthday.tv) which will include hours of interviews, documentaries, film clips and compelling visual and interactive information on climate change from leading independent films such as &#38;quot;Nobelity&#38;quot; and &#38;quot;The Great Warming&#38;quot;, cable television networks such as Lime, public and broadcast television networks and leading television production groups. The Earth Day TV Network will be available worldwide to anyone with high speed internet, and will look much like a regular television broadcast. EDN is partnering with Google Video as part of this IPTV launch. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; EDN's media partner, Lime Television Network (part of Revolution Living LLC), is working closely with EDN to create compelling content on the climate change issue, and providing content for EDN's new media outreach initiatives. Lime is also working with EDN to create &#38;quot;Earth Day in a Box&#38;quot; that will help thousands of volunteers join in the effort to focus on climate change on Earth Day this year. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; EDN is working with Microsoft to launch an interactive MSN Spaces' Earth Day community page that will include blogs, interactive content such as the Eco Footprint, and commentary on climate change solutions. The MSN Spaces Earth Day site will be promoted to Microsoft's worldwide network as we get closer to Earth Day. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; EDN will launch a new flash video on climate change. The launch, slated for early April, is done in partnership with the creators of the wildly successful &#38;quot;Meatrix&#38;quot; flash animation video. The flash film is being produced with the support of Stonyfield and Joel Makower. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; Our partners and thousands of concerned citizens will host over 20,000 events in the United States alone on Earth Day. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; We expect more than 2,000 Earth Day sermons to be delivered on Earth Day Sunday on climate change. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; Close to 80% our nation's K-12 schools will be holding Earth Day events and activities. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; More than 10 major cities in China will be holding Earth Day events and EDN and our partner, Global Village Beijing, will be premiering our third television movie - this one on climate change - on government television (reaching 500 million households a day) later this year. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;B&#62; EDN will help more than 100 low income community groups hold their first Earth Day and voter registration events in the U.S.; and thousands of our partner groups outside the US will use climate change as their theme for Earth Day. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;/B&#62; EDN is excited to join with Chevy and Jayni Chase to hold an on-line Earth Day charity auction featuring golf with Bill Murray, dinner with Bill Clinton, and lots of other great experiences. &#60;br /&#62;
* We will be co-sponsoring an international summit on nuclear energy and nuclear proliferation in Kiev and sponsoring a march with the victims of Chernobyl on the 20th anniversary of the world's worst nuclear power disaster. &#60;br /&#62;
 &#60;br /&#62;
These are a few of the major happenings this Earth Day.  We hope that you will join with us to hold an Earth Day event in your home this Earth Day (Saturday, the 22nd) and use Earth Day to take civic actions to stop global warming.&#60;br /&#62;

		 <title>[KidCast for Peace] Successful 10th Year Anniversary KidCast For Peace</title>
		 <link>http://creativity.net/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/kcfp2005/20050422183231/</link>
		 <description>&#60;p&#62;(Mailing List Information, including unsubscription instructions, &#60;br /&#62;
is located at the end of this message.)&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Greetings Dear V.A.R.I.O.U..S. Friends of the Earth, Art and Technology,&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
We had our most successful KidCast for Peace to date this morning! I am getting ready to catch a plane to our next KidCast for Peace location at the How Weird Festival, on May 1st in SF. It's a second chance for you to participate if you missed this mornings' event.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
I pulled up to Maui Individualize Learning Center (MILC) just before 8am, as Marsha Lash, KidCast Coordinator for the school, was arriving. Richard Marx recorded everything on Video (and what an excellent job he did) as Marsha and I rushed to set up our respective computers (both Apple laptops) and log on to the iVisit School Network Server; hosting our Video conference (IAO kids were already their and waiting thanks to Richard Tadaki the school's Tech. Coordinator).&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Once connected, the IAO School Peace Team was already there in the KidCast for Peace video Chat Room ready to interact. Soon MILC kids began to come into the classroom, just around the same time Colene Riffo and kids from Lakeview Charter School in Santa Clarita California showed up in the video conference. The IAO kids art was stunning, partially because they have an inspired teacher in Leiohu Ryder who worked with them to make art for the Season for Peace and Nonviolence.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Educator Marcelo Cozzare in Brazil was first online, followed later by Frieda Goffry in Belgium. A young person from Holland showed up and at one point there were 8 of us online together counting our V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media associate Theo Levene, in New York, who was such a life saver! He was the other end at almost all the iVisit tests helping to make sure the flow of images and movies, text chat and web pages, as well as direct dialogue between the nodes was not going to be crippled by technology issues. Of course, technology will have its way and it did. We still have a ways to go. But for free off the shelf anyone can play software, it was a stunning success! IVisit Rocks!&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
In a few days, I will be editing the video documentation, and the frame grabs of the video conference and post it on the web.  Unfortunately, only one of the other nodes present (Cozzare) was able to post images or video on a web site for our project as requested. Colene did manage to share a short video in the little iVisit window,  but there was no sound.  A young man called Dragan had recorded some children in Southern California who'd written and sang a ecological rap tune... He was the first to offer a solution for this year's event and we congratulate him for his excellent submission. Please visit our gallery of solutions to find the link to his work: &#60;br /&#62;

&#60;br /&#62;
and to hear it.  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Eventually, when the KidCast Coordinators at the other nodes are able to mount the art work on the Web their students created for this project, you will be able to have a look and listen by following the links in this years SOLUTION COORDINATION CENTER:  &#60;br /&#62;

&#60;br /&#62;
Everyone, even after the fact, is invited to post their links to KidCast For Peace art, and &#38;quot;SOLUTIONS&#38;quot; suggesting what we can do for a change that will evolve us toward inner (one's mind) and outer (Earth and its peoples) Peace and ecological sanity.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
We thank all our sponsors who have enabled this year's KidCast for Peace:&#60;br /&#62;

and Daryl Wise who helped with the press release. If your name is not yet in the sponsor and supporter list, it will be soon.  There is only so much one man can do!  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Part of the reason I am flying to California today, is to present Creativity Cafe Concepts and an experience of our Interactive Theater of the Future to some folks interested enough to pay for my airfare and learn first hand, why a network of Creativity Cafe's needs to exist in these critical times of change and evolution. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
We thank the children who participated in helping to shape their world via their participation in this opportunity to have a say.  Please let your friends and associates know we are doing it again on May 1, for kids of ANY AGE. So get out your little kid-self and make some art with your solution... Then follow the instructions (1, 2, and/or 3) in KidCast Central:  &#60;a href=&#34;http://creativity.net/KidCast/&#34;&#62;http://creativity.net/KidCast/&#60;/a&#62; and join us in the video conference.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Remember to think loving thoughts for your self, family, friends and our world. May your actions always be filled with PRONOIA in mind and love in your heart.&#60;br /&#62;

&#38;nbsp;&#60;br /&#62;
Hi- I'm Frieda Groffy and I'm co&#38;ouml;rdinating and producing the video we are making in Belgium with a Worldclass for refugee children based in a Community School in Sint Niklaas /Belgium-&#60;br /&#62;
what exactly have we to do to get our free accounts- the video will be finished within 2 day's from now- the time zone for Belgium I think there is a difference of 11 to 12 hours-to Hawaii-&#38;nbsp;Greenwich Time I think- so we propably start sending it between 21 to 23 h. pm-&#60;br /&#62;
hope to hear from you-&#60;br /&#62;
Frieda&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Aloha Frieda,&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
I want to alert you to the fact that what we really want to do, is to hear from those who've made the film, about their thoughts and feelings?  How long is your video?  Are you posting it on a web site as requested?  It is possible to play it live (using a video camera connected to the computer running iVisit) to those gathered, but no more than 2 or 3 minutes please (attention span issues). We don't want to monopolize and prevent audience interaction with those who made your film.  Its really best to put the film somewhere on the web so people can watch it anytime, while keeping free the iVisit KidCast for Peace chat room channel for our LIVE interaction and communication.  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
I realize it will be late at night (about 8-10pm) when our KidCast for Peace gathering takes place in Belgium.... Will you be able to have some of those who made your film available to answer questions and receive feedback from those gathered? &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
We would like to give those gathered, an opportunity to see the work BEFORE we connect on Friday, which is why we ask that the SUBMISSION of SOLUTIONS take place BEFORE the actual KidCast for Peace. Is it possible for you to post your film (at Archive.org or somewhere like it) so to make it most widely available? &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Can you then POST THE URL in Creativity Cafe's COMMUNITY FORUM where the KidCast SOLUTION REPOSITORY (see previous email) has been created to receive the URLs TO WHERE SUBMISSIONS ARE POSTED?  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
I know you must be making magic happen to bring this all together before Friday. We are looking forward to having your input and sharings.  I am just realizing that since it is so late in the day for you, that it would be advisable for those participants who, because of time zones, are in darkness at our start time of 18:00:00 GMT should be the FIRST TO PRESENT.... That would make ISRAEL first up, followed by BELGIUM, then NYC, then California, then HAWAII children presenting their SOLUTIONS.  I hope this makes sense to everyone?&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
If you get your ivisit (lite) to test with today (download it yourself), then when Goliath sends you the school account, you will have had some practice with the software (use the ivisit helpers to assist with set up and problems).  I admire you for taking on the challenge of making your film ready for viewing by our international audience, learning the iVisit software and being part of this years KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World. Much love and gratitude to you!&#60;br /&#62;

Aloha, &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
Welcome to the first use of Creativity Cafe's mailing list for this year's KidCast for Peace.  While testing yesterday, a gentleman wandered into our iVisit chat room. He turned out to be such a kindred spirit that we chatted and exchanged media for two hours... Colene joined us and we all hung out learning about each other.&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
He and some of his students will be participating with us... Have a look at the web site he constructed for our project:&#60;br /&#62;
