PS: had a great meeting this morning with John & Rainelle RE VMI
artists showcases. I feel a team brewing once again giving me hope behind my faith that my life and passion for CCafe has not been lived in vein.

PPS: went to dentist DDS Brath who XRay'd and saved #20 that a certain Kahului dentis insisted she kill & fill (for $2100.00 including post & crown) twice! Once before I had it filled by someone willing to not kill it, and again after she saw "decay" and put that on top of her treatment plan. Dr. Barth says no decay in *his* 2nd X-Ray (to verify that his $170 filling fills the bill). That saved me a bunch of money.

Its interesting to note the the Kahului dentist showed me a rather unclear xray taken digitally, while Brath's was film. Brath says he'd forward a digital copy of film copy of the XRay if I requested a second opinion. But when I called the Kahului dentist's office to follow up on my paying $50 for X-Rays that were included in their "Welcome Back Package," now, since asking they be forwarded for a second opinion, tell me they can't send the digital copies because their Email system has been down for days (hard to believe that one).

I suggested I would bring a flash drive in to copy and send them myself. They refused again, this time saying their X-Ray system was down also. That was the last straw. I am going to cancel my appointment for deep cleaning on Aug 18, (expecially for $250 a quadrant). Rather, I will go to one of the oldest and IMHO finest dentists in Lahaina, who can do the same work for $150 a quadrant and save me $400!!

The refusal to give my second opinion dentist digital copies of digital X-Ray data was the end of Kahului DDS U for me. From the very beginning I sensed a quiet desperation, no doubt forced by economics. The very first chit-chat was obviously to detect, in leu of the fact I did not have insurance, that I would be able to pay my bills. The ruse of interest in me (do you travel?) was her first question before moving after my affirmative. I guess anyone who can afford to travel is a safe bet. She never did get personal. It was all about the economics. She couldn't wait to tear into the tooth she said would need to be killed and filled, even after me saying (or specifically because of it would prove her wrong) that I had it repaired by someone else.

It fast became fairly obvious... the stress of this office's economic overhead was
palpable from day one! I was infuriated when office REFUSED to send digital copies of
X-Rays to my DDS BUDDY back East who is a master dental technologist. There was no attempt to be of service and deliver higher quality reproductions.

After visiting Brath (who didn't charge me for a confirmation X-Ray on tooth 20, I went to visit George who was on my Akaku TV production team in 2000 during Maui Artists Showcase production days, Pizza in hand. I stayed just long enough to eat, play a bit of guitar, dwnld a new drum Mach app 4 iPhone, before dashing off to hear the concert at MACC with Peter Kater and Dominic Miller. I want to shoot the cover of their next CD I would call, "Blazing by FLYING FINGERS!"

I got home to two DVDs frm Netflix and two packages from APPLE COMPUTER. They appeased me this time with a copy of their Leopard OS and iWork09 production package. Last week I'd received the iLife09 DVD. I must say, despite the occasional challenge with my Macbook Pro, I am quite happy with customer support as well as their technical support. Just make sure if you are not a computer novice, to immediately ask for a supervisor (if your needs are beyond script readers).

I was glad that I have a tapioca left to enjoy w the Netflix movies. It's been one of the most full days I've had in ages. Apple self spelling correction tech works remarkably well on the iPhone. I was texting on it to twitter before walking into my place after the long day. When I got off the chair I keep outside my front door, I noticed SOFTWARE APPLE HAD PROMISED!! What a caper!

I now have a copy of Leopard thanks to last weeks torment with iPhone syncing -- that I probably caused by trying to sync movie files I had copied from the iTunes folder into a new folder on the Desktop. I think somehow they were tagged invisibly as they would not process when dragged back into iTunes: even though the set of movies in the original source folder was removed.

If you've followed this post (even if you didn't understand it where my grammar goes off) I must thank you, for surely you have an interest in me and my world. Now if you'd only let me know it by leaving a comment and say hi!?
