Have a look at this post.  The C3 folks and I have been discussing grounding Creativity Cafe Edutainment Concepts (VMI events) at C3; their LA Art Center.  

They, like you were very focused on delivering online services until I mentioned that only 20-30% of folks are online.  IMHO there needs to be a "transitional-transformational" resource center where "luddites" can also take advantage of Cyber Communication advances, resources and services without having to know Geek! 

CCafe becomes a meeting-melting ground to help erase the digital divide and ease people's acceptance-understanding-ramifications of current and future earth changes/technology shifts. VMI is the "front door"  to understanding how CCafe can become a local-global "EarthStation Situation Room;" a bridging place to help those ready to accept responsibility for change and gain mentors and resources; without taking a heavy economic hit (or suffering through learning curves) to advance their personal path.

Please keep these folks in mind for once we get the game going on Maui.
