Re: edutainment Connects Creativity Cafe Maui and Japan School via iChat

Hi Marcus and friends of Creativity Cafe,

Marcus and  his ESL student Tomo, along with other students in Japan, video chatted with Creativity Cafe founder Peter Rosen and V.A.R.I.O.U.S. member George Hub. I am delighted that the very first V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media Ink; Visionary Artists Showcase and Networking Event of our latest series, led to meeting Marcus Granson at the Lighthouse Cafe on Maui where he spends half his time when not in Japan.

Our Maui to Japan conference via iChat on Macintosh computers provided an avenue for George in Hanakawai, and Peter in Kihei (both on Maui) to demonstrate the amazing video tricks possible, thanks to the built in Quartz foundation in the machines programming language.  Next time, lets try interaction via Stickam.com for up to 12 nodes to participate in our Video Chat. You might like to get an account there and explore?

Lastly, any viewer watching our Maui Artists Showcase event on Friday nights - if you have a camera and microphone attached to your computer, is a potential co-host for us to switch to during our live broadcasting activities. Try it, its fun!   Tomorrow (5/30) we are producing our interactive art show again (and every Friday).  Please tune in and participate in sharing your art! http://creativity.net/maui/mas/ has details.

Thanks again Marcus, for inviting George and I to participate with your classes!  The photos your students send are cool. I will put them up on Creativity Cafe's blog:

where you can also find details and the map to our live events

Aloha,
Peter
