Aloha Friends of Art and Technology for a Better World & Creativity
Cafe,

Friday night at the Lighthouse Internet Cafe here on Maui, we did a
last minute production of Creativity Cafe's V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media INK
(the Maui Artists Showcase). A special series of art shared via
laptops brought by computer graphic (and any other) artists with
images of their work cued up as a slide show.

I began last monday to do the graphics and then make the calendar
listings. Then I updated the VMI pages on creativity.net and began to
promote by making a Google Map and Yahoo Calendar listing, along with
just today, posting to Creativity Cafe Maui Mailing Lists and our
blogs. It was a lot of work and that was only a small portion of
what makes my life tick. Why sleep when I can record my music,
animate my ideas, make videos from my heart and correspond with those
I love. Even started the day with a Skype conference call with
family. Skype rocks! The video conferencing is cleaner that that
displayed in iChat!!

The great part of the last 24 hours was meeting some wonderful new
people, Keala who modeled for me last night at Baldwin Beach, and
tonight one of two who came for the Maui Artists Showcase production
of V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media Ink, Marcus from Tokyo (Marilyn came with
me)! He does video and photography, has a Mac like mine and looked
so familiar! He felt familiar too. He liked Creativity Cafe concepts
and certainly enjoyed looking at my Spirit Body Process Performance
Photography. We broadcast from the showcase using Creativity Cafe
feeds on Mogulus, and recorded our live broadcast using UStream.com.
We introduced the manager of the cyber cafe and counter girl on
camera, both of whom I've come to know a bit after hanging out in
this great little Maui hideaway at Maui Mall. We will be doing it
again next Friday so mark your calendar now and join one of
Creativity Cafe's Mailing Lists (V.A.R.I.O.U.S. Media Maui
recommended). You can't beat the cafe prices, location and
friendliness of the folks you'll meet. We got a special performance
from some of the "boat people" workers/performers from the Ship that
was in port. Watch the video, you'll see 'em.

Check out the video and rest of my images from tonight's happening!
Thanks for letting us know you enjoyed the show (if you've been
watching this topic in your news reader) if you were there and didn't
introduce yourself? You do know about RSS don't you? Stay connected
with what we're up to by subscribing. Here is our feed for the Maui
Artists Showcase project.

Blessings and Peace,
