PURPOSE
The "Arts For Social Change" award was founded in 1989 to stimulate the creation and expression of more positive media and is sponsored by the Creativity Cafe(TM) and V.A.R.I.O.U.S.. Our desire is to raise the emotional tone of the planet by the display of works of art that address possible solutions to humanity's ecological and social problems.
This web site is dedicated to receiving your vision for a better world. The award is a general call for traditional and digital artists who have the skills to render visible, anything imaginable...and who are focusing on a peaceful, healthy planet.
PREMISE
Our mission is to inspire and empower the public with educational entertainment. We invite you to demonstrate the role creative people can play, especially those using the latest technology, to help meet the challenges facing our planet and its peoples in these dynamic days of change.
We welcome your participation and look forward to the display of your entry on our web site. Until we receive your entry, we would be glad to post your URL so our visitors can browse over your way. Just let us know what it is!
CONTENT
We believe solutions to personal and global problems, rest in our ability to communicate our highest potential; first as individuals, and secondly as a global network of hearts and minds taking action towards the common good. Your submission should reflect this in light of the categories below.
CATEGORIES
People Care, Planet Care, Species Rights, Family, Recycling, Peace, Energy, Communications, Cosmology and Metaphysics.
Since the range of submissions will likely be of widely varying technical sophistication, attention will be focused on: A= Adherence to the theme of ecological and social concern; solutions for a better world, B= Concept or idea and ability to communicate it, C= Does it hit home? Does it move you?
OUTREACH
Through promotion in creative journals, educational and trade magazines, via the Internet and other broadcast media, the inspiration, imagination and creative skills of artists, technicians and concerned individuals such as yourself, can be demonstrated and expressed, thus helping to make this a better world. If in the event we decide to publish a CD-ROM, video or digitally distribute a compilation of the submissions, you will be contacted to negotiate a license. You retain all copyrights.

Please enclose this form, your submission and a $100 processing fee. This will help further our work to facilitate the expression of artists making a difference and the evolution of Creativity Cafe; a "New School for the Next Millennium." You will be kept advised as to Creativity Cafe plans and events, and progress towards our permanent physical site. We thank you for creating and sending your submission. We will publish your URL along with a graphic you supply digitally (any format) on our AFSC web page. You will be advised as to how, when, and where the judging will take place.
Be sure to include the *** DESCRIPTION OF SUBMISSION ***, a paragraph or two describing your submission. This will be mounted on the AFSC page along with the image representing what you submit.
